The Energy Efficiency Registration (EER) program, regulated by the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO), is implemented to improve energy conservation and ensure that electrical and energy-consuming products entering the Saudi market comply with approved energy performance requirements.

Products covered under the regulation must meet the applicable SASO Energy Efficiency Standards and obtain the required Energy Efficiency Certificate and Energy Efficiency Label before importation, sale, or distribution in Saudi Arabia.

The Energy Efficiency Label provides consumers with information about the energy performance of products, helping promote the use of energy-efficient appliances and supporting Saudi Arabia’s sustainability goals.
