Standards Organization of Nigeria Conformity Assessment Programme (SONCAP) is a pre-dispatch verification of compliance to standards used to check whether goods to be imported to Nigeria are in line with the suitable NIS or agreed equivalents and technical mandates prior to shipment. The agenda was created to make sure that imported products meet the requirements of satisfactory standards in order to guard Nigerian consumers from hazardous and inadequate end products.

SONCAP provides certifications to the goods listed below.

GHAD registration is an electronic portal used by importers and manufacturers in order to register products' licenses. GHAD is also utilized to renew products that are previously registered. Information registered in GHAD automatically appears on FASEH, as they both require SFDA. The two are interconnected in order to accelerate data processing. FASEH depends on GHAD because the product will only show if it's already registered on GHAD. Merit makes use of GHAD Registration when it comes to cosmetic products, perfumery, as well as various types of skincare products.

1. Product Certification :

This can be either three ways

• Product Certificate 1 (PC1) to look for Unregistered Status
• Product Certificate 2 (PC2) for Registered Status
• Product Certificate 3 (PC3) for Licensed Status
• 2. SONCAP Certification :
• Under this, SONCAP Certificate (SC) is provided.
